Anatolian Bezoar Ibex hunting in Turkey
Victor Melnikov who is our devoted client and a great friend fills up his trophy list of mountain species in a really successful way. During the year since last December Victor made few hunting trips: two to Spain and one to Turkey. In December this year Victor was in Turkey to get Anatolian Bezoar Ibex, the trophy which the country is famous for. The gap from November to December is one of to be recommended for this Ibex since they are in a rut season then.
To be sincere be ready for a little “fly in the ointment” – these months are the winter start for the whole Mediterranean region with the temperature going down, fresh mornings, rains and mist and snow in the mountains. But a real hunt and slightly tough conditions are unable to stop one who is eager to get the trophy and can only stimulate and generate to harvest a trophy you come for.
During the whole week of Victor’s time in the hunting area only a day occurred to be a real nice one: warm, sunny, mountain slopes were clearly visible through the lenses. The rest time was a combination of gusty wind and pouring rain. And whitish mist covered both the slopes and the valleys. Owing to the local outfitter with their professional skills and the mountain experience neither a herd or a single trophy had been missed.
Victor’s hard work of few stalkings, long time waiting-watching at the bottoms were rewarded indeed. Finally Victor got a very good trophy of the Anatolian Ibex: 110/111 cm or 43″.
We are happy to congratulate him sincerely! The next, 2015 year, is coming shortly and serious hunting plans, new slopes, new emotions, new ordeals and new trophies are in store!
