Snow Sheep

Snow sheep live only in Russia in Siberia. There are 8 different snow sheep subspecies are officially recognized and 6 of them can be hunted with almost 100% success. Snow sheep have a huge area and can be found in good numbers. They are hunted mostly in August and September. Normally it is a 10-day hunt with 14 days of traveling. Some of the areas can be reached only by chopper and some of them by ground transportation.
Snow sheep is a great trophy and prices for hunt are still very reasonable and much cheaper them North American sheep.
Combination hunts for 2-3 different species are very popular at the moment and some of these hunts are logistically, let say, nice.

Hunting is done on foot with lots of glassing. Fly camping is used intensively. The horns length of a Snow Sheep can reach up to 110 cm /43 inches with 80 – 85 cm / 32-35 inches at average.

A 110 cm / 43 inches world record of Kamchatka Snow Sheep belongs to ProfiHunt and our client Dieter Pfannenstein (Germany).
