Expect a traditional stalking hunt, requiring good physical fitness and stamina. This is a backpack-style hunt, with intense trekking on foot through rugged alpine valleys.
Temporary tented camps are established near high-activity areas to facilitate spot-and-stalk hunting. Hunters spend the day exploring ridges, spotting rams with binoculars, and carefully planning their approach for the final shot.
Camps are modern, windproof tents, typically equipped with stoves and cots. Most camps feature:

● A shower tent
● A cook providing traditional Russian-style meals
Spike camps are small, minimalist tents, and packed lunches are provided. Hunters should be prepared for ascetic but functional conditions, perfectly suited for serious mountain hunting. Camps are located in mountain valleys at 2.500–3.000 feet, offering proximity to prime hunting areas while immersing you in the wilderness.

Weather in Kamchatka’s mountains is variable, with occasional fog, rain, snow or sudden temperature drops. Proper preparation is essential for comfort and safety.
