The Low Tatra Chamois is one of the rarest and most exclusive mountain game animals in Europe. Recognized as a separate subspecies from the Alpine Chamois, it inhabits the rugged peaks and alpine slopes of Slovakia’s Low Tatra Mountains, where it has adapted to a unique mountain environment.

The hunting areas are located in Northern Slovakia, approximately 300 kilometers from Budapest and 500 kilometers from Vienna.
Hunters typically arrive via either Budapest or Vienna International Airport, where they are met by our representatives and transferred directly to the hunting area.
Both routes provide convenient access to the Low Tatra Mountains and the hunting grounds.
November – December
Late autumn and early winter offer ideal conditions for chamois hunting, with animals often visible on open mountain slopes and ridgelines.
Hunting is conducted by the classic spot-and-stalk method.
Hunters spend their days glassing mountain slopes and rocky terrain in search of mature chamois before beginning a careful stalk through the alpine landscape. The hunt requires patience, good marksmanship and the ability to move confidently in steep mountain terrain.
Due to the challenging nature of the hunt, a good level of physical fitness is recommended.
Comfortable hunting lodges, mountain guesthouses or small hotels located close to the hunting areas.
The accommodations provide quality meals, comfortable rooms and a welcoming atmosphere after a day spent in the mountains.
Weather conditions in the Low Tatra Mountains can be highly variable during the hunting season.
November:
Daytime temperatures typically range from 35°F to 50°F (2°C to 10°C), with colder mornings and evenings.
December:
Temperatures generally range from 20°F to 40°F (-7°C to 5°C), with snowfall common at higher elevations.
Hunters should be prepared for mountain weather, including strong winds, snow and rapidly changing conditions typical of the Carpathian Mountains.
