Bukharan ibex in Tajikistan
The Bukharan ibex may be found starting from the Panj River, which forms much of the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and going north and northwest to the base of the Ismoul Somini mountains.
The Bukharan Ibex typically has dark brown fur.
On foot
The most convenient and reliable way to Dushanbe is via Istanbul by Turkish Airlines. We meet you in Dushanbe and take care of all the formalities. A 4×4 van gets the hunters from Dushanbe to the hunting areas which are located 5-6 hours drive.
September – February
Wooden houses as a base camp – they are warm, clean and comfortable enough. Spike camps are used intensively.
Usually weather is quite favorable and predictable during the hunting period. During daylight hours in October the temperature is from 45 to 57F and at night 14F to 23F. In November the temperature is from 5F-14F and during nighttime from – 4F to + 5F. Expect chilly morning and evening, windy conditions.
