Hunting in the Equatorial Forests of Cameroon

We congratulate Russian hunter Alexey Kim on his successful hunt in Cameroon!
The country is one of the world’s leading destinations for trophy hunting.
The hunt took place in the south of the country, in a humid equatorial forest.
A safari amid dense evergreen vegetation, impenetrable jungle, and under conditions of high temperature and humidity requires considerable courage, endurance, and patience.
Any trophy taken is both a real achievement and it’s rising to the challenge of the harsh natural environment.
Over the course of three weeks, the hunter had succeeded to harvest rare and highly prized trophies:

• dwarf forest buffalo (also sometimes called the red forest buffalo — the smallest of the African buffaloes);
• bongo (it’s one of the most prestigious trophies in the equatorial forests);
• yellow-backed duiker (one of the largest African duikers);
• Peter’s duiker (named after the zoologist Wilhelm Peters);
• Bates’s pygmy antelope (the species is named after the naturalist George L. Bates);
• blue duiker (the smallest duiker in Africa).
